“HISTORY AND PEOPLE OF THE CAFFARELLI FAMILY”
Series of cultural videoconferences
Dear members and friends,
At this point in time when we are trying to get back to our everyday activities and business, with the various problems that this emergency we are going through has caused, and looking forward to being able to organize our guided cultural tours to archives, museums, galleries and other cultural locations, we thought we might set up cultural gatherings through online videoconferences, that you will be able to comfortably access from your personal computers, tablets and smartphones.
We decided to start off with a series of conferences that will provide you with further knowledge of the history of the noble Roman family of Caffarelli, from its origins to today. There will definitely be a videoconference to celebrate the genius Raffaello, since this year we commemorate the 500th anniversary of the death of this great artist from Urbino, and since we were not able to organize the much desired guided tour to the beautiful Raffaello exhibition at the Scuderie del Quirinale. While scrolling through pictures, photographs, prints and drawings, we will help you fall in love with history, art history and Roman Renaissance and modern architecture. This series of videoconferences will be comprised of 4 virtual cultural meetings. The conferences will be broadcast live, so it will be possible to interact with the speaker.
Thursday June 4th at 6pm
“The Caffarellis: history of a noble Roman family” (speaker Laura Santilli)
Thursday June 18th at 6pm
“Scipione Borghese Caffarelli” (speaker Rossana Castrovinci)
Thursday July 2nd at 6pm
“Raffaello in Rome” (speaker Rossana Castrovinci)
Giovedì 16 luglio at 6 pm
“The second generation of the Caffarelli family in family photos” (speaker Nadina Panetta)
Since we have not been able to organize many cultural visits that were already planned, we are offering these videoconferences completely FREE OF CHARGE
Booking of each single conference is mandatory at least 2 days before the established date, in order for us to have the list of participants to be invited.
Participation in the video conferences will take place via Zoom (https://zoom.us/meetings), which is very easy to use.
Those who book will receive an email on the day of the event with the link: all you will have to do is click on the link to the video conference at the established time in order to participate (using your computer).
Those who wish to use their tablet or smartphone will need to download the Zoom application on their device.
The video conferences will last about 30 minutes with the opportunity to have a short debate at the end or simply the chance to ask the speaker questions.
Should the date of the conference be changed, this will be communicated in good time.
For those who are not members yet but would like to participate in the planned videoconferences, you simply have to go on our website www.archiviocaffarelli.com under the section Become a Member, register and sign up as an Ordinary or Supporting Member.
We’re looking forward to seeing you!
